If a work wants to go in a direction that you did not have in mind at the start I don't fight that new direction. A work that has an element of a series I worked on 5-6 years ago titled Garden Intruder. That series owes a lot to the current state of affairs in the country which sets the tone for things on a more basic everyday level. 

The series was temporally interrupted by a commission. Pictured here is a drawing which, along with the previous one in this album are for two upcoming book covers. 

Pulp writers not accepted by the slicks wrote often in isolation with few in their communities that they could exchange ideas with and little appreciation from those outside their community (an exception “Such Pulp as. Dreams Are Made on” VVV, Surrealists magazine New York no. 2-3 1942 and Breton's concept of The Great Invisibles).
